These terms apply to the American Safety Training portal, operated by American Safety Services, Inc. By using this site or creating an account, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the portal. How we handle information is described in our Privacy Policy.
The portal lets you browse and register for workplace safety training classes, pay for them, complete coursework, track attendance and results, and receive and verify certificates. Organizations can enroll and manage their own people. Instructors use it to run classes and record attendance and results.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your password confidential. Do not share your login. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account. Certificates are issued in the name on the account, so keep your name and contact details current — we cannot correct a credential we were given wrong information for without reissuing it.
Class prices are shown at the time of registration. Payment is due as described at checkout, and card payments are processed by our payment processor. Seats in a class are limited and are confirmed only once your registration is complete. We may cancel or reschedule a class — for instructor availability, weather, low enrollment, or other reasons — and if we do, we will contact you to rebook or arrange a refund.
Certificates are issued only to people who actually attend and complete the required training and meet the passing requirements for the course. We may withhold or revoke a certificate obtained through inaccurate information, someone else attending in your place, or any other misrepresentation. Certificates carry an expiration date where the underlying standard requires one, and it is your responsibility and your employer's to renew before that date. Anyone holding a certificate number can confirm it through our public verification page.
Use the portal only for its intended purpose. Do not attempt to access accounts, records, or data that are not yours; do not interfere with or attempt to disrupt the service; do not upload anything unlawful or malicious; and do not copy, redistribute, or resell our course materials. Course content, class materials, and the contents of this site belong to American Safety Services, Inc. or its licensors and are provided for your own training use only.
The American Safety Training Instructor Schedule Alerts program sends teaching-schedule notifications by text message from American Safety Services, Inc. to instructors who teach classes for American Safety Services, Inc.
This program is for American Safety Services, Inc. instructors only. It is an internal workforce notification program. It is not open to the public, it is not offered to students or customers, and it carries no marketing, promotional, or sales content of any kind.
Two kinds of message: first, on the evening before each day you are scheduled to teach, a message listing the classes assigned to you the next day and asking you to reply Y to confirm or N if you cannot teach them; and second, approximately 30 minutes before each scheduled class, a reminder for that class.
You opt in by signing in to this portal, opening your profile, and turning on schedule text messages. The setting is off by default and must be turned on by you. You may also ask an American Safety Services administrator to turn it on for you; we record who enabled it and when. Opting in is optional and is not a condition of employment, of being scheduled, of your pay, or of using this portal.
Message frequency varies and depends on your teaching schedule. You will typically receive one schedule message per teaching day plus one reminder per class.
There is no charge from American Safety Services, Inc. to receive these messages. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. You are responsible for any message and data charges billed by your carrier.
Reply HELP to any message from us. You can also reach us at (432) 552-7625 or training@americansafety.net.
Reply STOP to any message from us to stop receiving them. STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, and QUIT are all honored, as are plain-language requests such as "please stop texting me." You will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages after that. You may also turn schedule texts off at any time in your profile, or ask an administrator to turn them off for you. Stopping text messages does not affect your work assignments — your schedule remains available in this portal and by email.
Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, and U.S. Cellular, among others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. T-Mobile is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Wireless carriers do not guarantee that messages will be delivered, and American Safety Services, Inc. is not liable for any delay in or failure of delivery of any message. Text messages are not a guaranteed method of notification — always check your schedule in this portal.
You must be at least 18 years old and be the subscriber or an authorized user of the mobile number you provide. If your mobile number changes, update it in your profile so that we do not text a number that is no longer yours.
Information you provide in connection with this program is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. No mobile information will be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We may modify or end this program at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page.
We work to keep the portal available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The portal may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control, and we may change or discontinue features. The site is provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, American Safety Services, Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the portal. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Training provided through this portal is instruction — it does not replace your own or your employer's legal obligations for workplace safety, and it does not make us responsible for how the training is applied on a job site.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the portal after a change means you accept the updated terms.
